March ABC Employees

Congratulations to Mrs. Mandi Sheeler and Mrs. Vanessa Cassidy - the RES ABC employees for March. Mrs. Sheeler is our  Media Specialist and Mrs. Cassidy is an assistant in kindergarten.   Both of these ladies are true examples of ABC employees because they go Above and Beyond the Call of Duty every day for our students.  Thank you, Mrs. Sheeler and Mrs. Cassidy! March Students of the Month

Fourth grade student, Alyssa Creech, has been named the RES Student of the Month for March! Alyssa's teacher, Mrs. Stokes says, "Alyssa Creech is one of the hardest working students in my class. She always puts forth effort and shows kindness to both students and staff. Her bubbly smile and personality are contagious." Congratulations to Alyssa on being chosen Ruby Elementary's March Student of the Month!"

Picnic Table Donated to RES in Honor of Kaylee Leonard

Mr. Jimmy Leonard, father of 3rd grader Kaylee Leonard, recently donated a picnic table to Ruby Elementary. "RES appreciates this generous donation from one of our parents. The Chinese New Year Parade is tomorrow at 2:00. Encourage students to WEAR RED. Mrs. Brock and Mrs. Lear also said it's fine if students have noise makers and cheer as they pass - the louder the better!

RES 2017-2018 Teacher of the Year

Mrs. Janna Jordan has been named Teacher of the Year for Ruby Elementary! Mrs. Jordan has been teaching six years. She began her career at Pageland Elementary where she taught for three years before joining the RES family. Mrs. Jordan has been teaching at RES for three years. She taught two years of third grade and is currently in her first year of teaching kindergarten. Principal Caroline Miles says, "Mrs. Jordan is an excellent educator who constantly puts others before herself. She is a team player with an open mind who is always willing to go the extra mile for her students. Janna's optimistic attitude is contagious. This honor is well deserved." Congrats, Mrs. Jordan! February Student of the Month

Fifth grade student, Madison Steen, has been named the RES Student of the Month for February! Madison's teacher, Mrs.
Douglas says, "Madison Steen is the type of student who treats everyone fairly, regardless of how they treat her. She lives by the golden rule, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” Her life decision to not be involved in drama has set her apart from others. She always has a smile on her face and is looking for ways to be helpful. Madison has a “can do” attitude and strives to do her very best each day." Congratulations to Madison on being chosen Ruby Elementary's February Student of the Month!"

RES Students Shine with Perfect Attendance and Honor Roll

RES recently celebrated students who earned A or A/B Honor Roll status and perfect attendance for the 2nd 9 weeks. 89 students in grades 2-5 earned the honor roll distinction and 83 students in grades CD-5 were present every day during the 2nd 9 weeks! These students were treated with extra recess and a snack. Way to go, RES students!
