Congratulations to 5th Grade Teacher, Gail Crawford! Mrs. Crawford is the RES Teacher of the Year! Principal Caroline Miles says, "Mrs. Crawford is an excellent teacher. Her quiet and calm nature creates a classroom where children feel comfortable taking risks and asking for help. Mrs. Crawford makes learning fun! Representative Richie Yow Visits Second Grade!

Second grade has been learning about voting and making laws as part of their social studies unit. Representative Richie Yow visited the second graders as a special treat to discuss his job. ABC February Employees of the Month

Congratulations to  Mrs. Rhonda Stokes and Ms. Cheryl Morris - the RES ABC employees for February! Mrs. Stokes teaches 4th Grade Language Arts and Social Studies and Ms. Morris  is our Computer Lab Manager. Both of them are true examples of ABC employees because they go Above and Beyond the Call of Duty every day for our students.  Thank you, Mrs. Stokes and Ms. Morris! February Student of the Month

Kindergarten student, KyAnne Gulledge , has been named the RES Student of the Month for February! KyAnne's teacher, Ms. Jordan says, "KyAnne is a PERFECT student! She is kind, caring, patient, helpful, empathetic, hard-working, a great listener, and a friend to all. If any of her classmates are ever upset, we can always count on KyAnne to comfort with a hug and encourage with her kind words. January Student of the Month

Fifth grade student, Eddie Reyes , has been named the RES Student of the Month for January! Eddie's teacher, Mrs. Douglas says, "Eddie Reyes lives by the belief that it is better to cooperate than to compete. He treats everyone fairly and expects the same from others. He is good about respecting other’s beliefs and helps others come to a peaceful agreement when problems arise. Eddie has always been a student who shows great work ethic and he tries hard every single day to do his best both in the classroom and out. I am very proud of his progress and success this year. Congratulations, Eddie! You’re a winner in every sense of the word!"  Congratulations to Eddie on being chosen Ruby Elementary's January  Student of the Month!
