Congratulations to  Mrs. Rhonda Stokes and Ms. Cheryl Morris - the RES ABC employees for February! Mrs. Stokes teaches 4th Grade Language Arts and Social Studies and Ms. Morris  is our Computer Lab Manager. Both of them are true examples of ABC employees because they go Above and Beyond the Call of Duty every day for our students.  Thank you, Mrs. Stokes and Ms. Morris! RES appreciates you!

Kindergarten student, KyAnne Gulledge , has been named the RES Student of the Month for February! KyAnne's teacher, Ms. Jordan says, "KyAnne is a PERFECT student! She is kind, caring, patient, helpful, empathetic, hard-working, a great listener, and a friend to all. If any of her classmates are ever upset, we can always count on KyAnne to comfort with a hug and encourage with her kind words. I am blessed to be KyAnne’s teacher, and we are lucky to have her at RES! ❤️"  Congratulations to KyAnne on being chosen Ruby Elementary's February  Student of the Month! The RES Student of the Month is sponsored by the Chesterfield High School Alumni Association.  KyAnne has been provided a sign to display proudly in her yard during the month of February !

RES welcomes Officer Tony Creech, our new School Resource Officer!

Congratulations to 5th grade student, Camryn Horton, for being 1st runner up in the CCSD District Spelling Bee!  Camryn competed for a total of 18 rounds!  Way to go, Camryn!

Fifth grade student, Eddie Reyes , has been named the RES Student of the Month for January! Eddie's teacher, Mrs. Douglas says, "Eddie Reyes lives by the belief that it is better to cooperate than to compete. He treats everyone fairly and expects the same from others. He is good about respecting other’s beliefs and helps others come to a peaceful agreement when problems arise. Eddie has always been a student who shows great work ethic and he tries hard every single day to do his best both in the classroom and out. I am very proud of his progress and success this year. Congratulations, Eddie! You’re a winner in every sense of the word!"  Congratulations to Eddie on being chosen Ruby Elementary's January  Student of the Month! RES is also proud of all the classroom nominations. These students were presented with a certificate and free corn dog from Sonic.  They are as follows: Cohen O'Neal, Trevor McLain, David Brown, Jaiden Campbell, Trevor Rivers, Grady Rivers, Bianca Watson, Jenna Kelly, Luke Perry, Eathan Ammons, Anna Claire Cagle, and Alayna Cassidy.  Keep up the good week! Congratulations to Ms. Taylor Freeman and Mrs. Vanessa Cassidy - the RES ABC employees for December! Ms. Freeman teaches fourth grade and Mrs. Cassidy is an instructional assistant in kindergarten. Both of them are true examples of ABC employees because they go Above and Beyond the Call of Duty every day for our students.  Thank you, Ms. Freeman and Mrs. Cassidy! Mrs. Huggins' class received a Bight Ideas Grant from Lynches River Electric Co-Op for the construction of a Sensory Station. Our sensory station will consist of a wall with a variety of different sensory experiences. We are also going to build a three level sensory table for our students as well. We want to be able to engage student learning through using all of their senses. This type of hands on learning encourages students to explore their environment in a safe space that is not overwhelming. All students can learn! By providing students with positive learning experiences they can reach their full potential. We are very excited about our new Sensory Station for some of our awesome students!

Fourth grade student, Shaye Ratliff , has been named the RES Student of the Month for December! Shaye's teacher, Mrs. Stokes says, "Shaye is very caring and compassionate student. She is always patient and willing to help anyone that needs a little extra support or help. She encourages others to be kind. She is a great example of what we should all strive to be!" Congratulations to Shaye on being chosen Ruby Elementary's December Student of the Month! The RES Student of the Month is sponsored by the Chesterfield High School Alumni Association.
